🚀❤️ PTC: GET INVOLVED AT OAKDALE! ❤️🚀
Our first PTC (Parent Teacher Club) meeting of the year is Tuesday, August 1 at 8:30 am in the Fine Arts, and we’d love to see some new faces! Especially if you’re a newer Oakdale family, this is a great way to learn more about our school and find a way to get involved. 🏫✨
The PTC is made up of parent volunteers who want to see Oakdale be the best school it can be. They help plan and coordinate activities that benefit our teachers, staff, students, and families throughout the school year. ❤️
You don’t have to be a longtime Oakdale family or have tons of free time to make a difference. If you’re willing to volunteer and want to be part of making Oakdale an even better place for our Rockets, we’d love to have you join us! 🚀
Whether you can volunteer regularly, help with a special event, donate supplies, or lend a hand when needed—every bit of help is important! Be part of the PTC and help make a difference at Oakdale! ❤️💙

🚀✨ PRE-K TEACHERS IN THE SPOTLIGHT! ✨🚀
Our littlest Rockets are in some very special hands! ❤️
Meet our amazing Pre-K teachers, Mrs. Parish and Mrs. Booker! These two bring a wealth of experience, patience, dedication, and—most importantly—a whole lot of love to our youngest students every day. 🥰
They are helping our little Rockets take those very first steps into their educational journey, creating a classroom where students feel loved, encouraged, supported, and excited to learn. 🌟
We are so THANKFUL for Mrs. Parish and Mrs. Booker and the love they pour into our Pre-K students each day! ❤️🚀
Thank you for helping our little Rockets shine! ⭐

❤️🩹🚨 Learning Today. Ready to Help Tomorrow! 🚨❤️🩹
Our teachers are getting hands-on with CPR training—and they’re not just sitting around watching! 💪😄 They’re practicing chest compressions and rescue breathing so they’re prepared to respond when it matters most.
The CPR dummies may be getting all the attention today, but our teachers are the real MVPs! 👏🫶

A BIG shout-out to Ms. Malisa and her amazing cafeteria crew for the delicious, hot meals they serve our Rockets every day! ❤️💙 Your hard work helps keep our students fueled, happy, and ready to learn!
Welcome to the lunch line, Mr. Still! We hope it was the first of MANY Oakdale meals! 😉🍕🍎

Join Nurse Peggy for Walking Wednesday! 🚶♀️🚶♂️🚀
We are excited to introduce Walking Wednesday for the 2026–2027 school year!
Every Wednesday morning, students are invited to meet at the Oakdale Valley Clubhouse at 8:00 AM, where we will walk to school together. It’s a fun and healthy way to start the day, build community, and show our Rocket pride!
📍 Meet: Oakdale Valley Clubhouse at 8:00 AM
👟 What: Walk to school together as a group
📅 When: Every Wednesday morning, unless it is raining or the wind chill is below 32 degrees
🚫🛴 Remember: No wheels—only feet!
Walking Wednesday will not affect after-school procedures.
We can’t wait to see our Rockets walking, talking, and starting the day together! Let’s make Walking Wednesday a great new tradition at Oakdale!
Go Rockets! 🚀
We’re excited for Pizza Days twice a month! 🍕🚀 Be sure to check the school menu to know which days pizza will be served. This Friday is the first pepperoni pizza day.
Each student’s tray includes:
🍕 1 slice of pizza
🥗 Romaine salad
🍎 Fruit
🥛 Milk
Students may purchase an extra slice for $2 as long as their lunch account has a positive balance.
A few important reminders:
Kindergarten students receive one slice only.
Middle school students must have their lanyard to purchase a second slice.
From carpool smiles 😊 and friendly hellos 👋 to settling into new routines, our Rockets had an amazing start to the school year! 🚀📚
We are so excited for the year ahead and all the learning, growing, and fun already happening at Oakdale! ❤️💙
And this is just the beginning… more first-day-of-school pictures to come! 📸✨
