Oakdale Elementary School

🍦☀️ Popsicles in the Park was the perfect way to kick off the new school year! ☀️🍦
It was wonderful seeing so many Oakdale families come together for an evening filled with smiles, laughter, and Rocket pride! 🚀💙 We loved meeting lots of new faces while catching up with many familiar ones.
One of the best parts of the evening was seeing second-generation Oakdale families bringing their little Rockets to begin their own Oakdale journey. What a special reminder of the strong traditions and community that make Oakdale such a special place. ❤️
A huge thank you to our Oakdale PTC for hosting another fantastic event and to all the families who came out to make it such a success. We can't wait for an amazing school year together!

📚🌱 Mystery solved... and a new adventure begins! 🕵️‍♀️🪴
Our incoming 4th graders read Growing Home by Beth Ferry and gathered on July 8 for a fun-filled Book Club with Mrs. Branscum and Mrs. Dunn! 💙🚀
Students worked together to complete an exciting escape room featuring five puzzles inspired by the characters from the story. 🧩📖 After solving each challenge, they uncovered a secret message inviting them to join Arthur's Mystery Society and meet their new plant friends! 🌿🔍✨
What a fantastic way to keep reading, thinking, and collaborating all summer long! We can't wait to see these readers back at Oakdale this fall! ❤️💙

Our Pre-K graduates took the stage to celebrate a very special milestone as they completed the first step in their educational journey. From learning letters and numbers to building friendships, confidence, and a love for learning, these students have grown so much this year!
The smiles, songs, and proud moments shared during graduation reminded us just how bright their futures are. We are so proud of every one of these young Rockets and cannot wait to see all they accomplish as they head to kindergarten! 🚀💙
A special thank you to our amazing Pre-K teachers and families for nurturing, encouraging, and supporting these students throughout the year. The seed has been planted, and we know great things are ahead! 🌼📚✨ Congratulations, Pre-K Class of 2026! 🎉🎓💙

A total of 36 students in 6th-8th grade and 18 fifth graders qualified for the celebration during their lunch times. Students enjoyed their outings just before school was out. Students were treated to pizza, salad, noodles, dessert, and even had time to have fun in the arcade! 🎮🍪🥗
A huge thank you to Mrs. Jones, our middle school librarian, for the incredible work she does encouraging a love of reading at Oakdale. Her dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to helping students discover great books continue to inspire students year after year. Opportunities like this are just one example of how she goes above and beyond to make reading exciting and rewarding for our students. 💚
Thank you to OSF for helping make this memorable experience possible for our readers!

Kindergarteners are glowing it up thanks to the “Special Days Grant” funded by OSF! ✨🌟
Each kindergarten class spent the day reviewing important skills from last semester, and OSF helped make learning extra fun with glow sticks, black lights, vests, hats, balloons, and glowing decorations. 💡🪩🎈😎
What a fun memory and creative way to make learning shine in a bright way! Way to go, kindergarten teachers and OSF, for creating such an exciting experience for our students! 💚🚀
