Oakdale School Board members, staff, students, and families were excited to welcome our new superintendent, Mr. Still, officially, and his family at the Meet & Greet! Oakdale students created thoughtful welcome books, cards, signs, and posters to help make their visit extra special.
It was wonderful seeing students, families, staff, and former colleagues stop by to share warm wishes and introduce themselves. Mr. Still and his family enjoyed meeting new faces!

Oakdale is happy you are here, Mr. Still, and we are looking forward to an amazing future together as Rockets!

Shout out to the amazing PTC team, along with the support of many generous Oakdale parents, who showered the faculty and staff daily last week for Teacher Appreciation Week. ❤️🍎 Parents also stepped in throughout the week to help the PTC team by covering recess duties for Pre-K through 5th grade, helping make all the special events and treats possible for our staff.

Vendors for the week included Chick-fil-A, Meddy’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Oak City Pizza, OBC Soda Bar, Tommy’s Express Car Wash, relaxing massages, and many parents who generously sent homemade loaves of bread.

The teachers and staff are incredibly grateful for the thoughtfulness, generosity, and encouragement shown throughout the week. Thank you for making every member of our Oakdale team feel appreciated and valued! 🚀

The Senior Class of 2026 walked the halls of Oakdale one more time before their graduation and before beginning a new chapter in their stories. ❤️🚀

From Pre-K through 8th grade, students and teachers lined the halls to cheer them on and celebrate their accomplishments. Following the walk, seniors enjoyed a special reception with their former Oakdale teachers thanks to the generosity of parents who helped make the event possible.

It was inspiring to see so many former Rockets who have gone on to excel in high school and beyond. Among this outstanding group were valedictorians, salutatorians, class presidents, StuCo presidents, and many other student leaders who continue to make us proud to have been part of their journey.

We wish the Class of 2026 continued success and happiness in all they do. No matter where life takes them, once a Rocket, always a Rocket! 🚀 #OakdaleRockets #ClassOf2026 #OnceARocketAlwaysARocket

Faculty and staff recently enjoyed a sweet retirement celebration honoring Dr. Johnson and Mrs. Padgett for their years of dedication and service to Oakdale. ❤️🚀

Mrs. Padgett’s journey at Oakdale began as an Oakdale mom with her two younger sons before returning to the classroom full-time and coaching volleyball. Through the years, she led many successful volleyball seasons and made a lasting impact, helping students strengthen their reading skills in her Reading Club class. She has been a steady source of encouragement and support to students and coworkers alike, always willing to lend a helping hand. Mrs. Padgett will certainly be missed, but we are excited for her as she begins this next chapter filled with fun, family, and relaxation.

Dr. Johnson has been a part of the Oakdale community for many years and has faithfully served as Superintendent for the past three years. His family legacy at Oakdale has continued with leadership, dedication, and deep respect for our students, faculty, and community. We are grateful for the confidence, vision, and leadership he brought to Oakdale during his time of service.

We wish both Mrs. Padgett and Dr. Johnson many happy years ahead, filled with travel, relaxation, and special memories with loved ones. Thank you both for the lasting impact you have made on Oakdale! 💙

Bright and sunny on Monday and cooler and cloudy on Tuesday, but that didn’t stop Coach Andrews, Coach Lowe, Mrs. Ford, and Mrs. Camp from giving it their all and making it two GREAT days for our K-5th grade students! 🏃‍♂️⚽🎈

Students enjoyed being outside, staying active, and participating in fun, structured field day activities with their classmates all day long! 💙🚀

A special shoutout to the parents who volunteered to run stations and to our amazing 8th graders who stayed and stepped up to help continue a tradition that goes way back. Seeing students help and encourage their former book buddies in a whole new way was such a cool thing to witness! 📚❤️

We also want to recognize the 6th and 7th graders who filled in the gaps whenever needed. Kudos to our older students for stepping up and serving others! 👏

At Oakdale, patriotism is part of our daily routine. 🇺🇸 Walk through our halls and you’ll see our fifth graders and our other students standing tall, saluting the American flag, and proudly reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Moments like these remind us of the importance of respect, unity, and love for our country—values we’re proud to instill in our students every day. ❤️🤍💙 #OakdalePride #Patriotism #FutureLeaders #Respect

Fathiyah Ayodele, a proud former Oakdale student and 2026 graduate of Edmond Memorial High School, continues to shine as an example of dedication, leadership, and academic excellence. Recently named an Oklahoma Academic All-Stater, Fathiyah has also served as a Teen Leader for the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and was accepted into a prestigious pre-med program as an OU Medical Humanities Scholar.
The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence ceremony honored the Academic All-Staters and their honored teacher-guests at a dinner on May 2. The event will be televised on OETA this Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Fathiyah’s winning essay reflected on the impact of her 8th-grade ELA teacher, Mrs. Hartman, now in her seventh year of teaching middle school ELA at Oakdale. In her writing, Fathiyah described how the high expectations and encouragement she received at Oakdale inspired her to push beyond her limits and continue striving for excellence in high school and beyond.

This fall, she will take the next step in her journey by studying medicine at the University of Oklahoma. Oakdale is proud to celebrate Fathiyah’s success and looks forward to all she will accomplish in the years ahead.
