🍎🌋 Science You Can See, Taste, and Enjoy! 🌋🍎
Our Pre-K students had a blast learning about how science works with Apple Volcanoes! They explored reactions, watched Mrs. Parish make the volcano erupt, and even enjoyed delicious applesauce along the way.
Who says learning science can’t be fun AND tasty? Our youngest Rockets are discovering that science is all around us—and sometimes you get to eat your experiment, too! 🍎🔬🚀
May you feel the strength, encouragement, and support of everyone standing behind you. We can't wait to see you back at Oakdale, shining bright! 💛🚀
Once a Rocket, always a Rocket! 💛
What a fun night at Oakdale! From food trucks, face painting, tattoos, and bounce houses to our highly anticipated Bash Dash, there was something for everyone. It was a night full of laughter, fun, and family time!
A HUGE THANK YOU to our PTC for all the planning, organization, and energy that went into making this event such a success. We also appreciate our food trucks for making dinner easy and delicious, and our Builders Club for keeping everyone hydrated by selling water!
And a BIG SHOUTOUT to the teachers who participated in our first-ever Bash Dash! You were speedy AND hilarious! Mr. Still and Mr. Burns battled it out, with Mr. Still winning by a feather! (We'll let them decide who gets bragging rights!)
Thank you to everyone who came out and made the evening so special. We're already looking forward to next year!
That's how we kick off a school year, Rocket style! 🚀

💙 Be Your Healthiest You! 💙
Nurse Cain encourages all Oakdale students and families to take steps toward being their healthiest selves! Healthy habits start at home and can make a lasting difference.
Did you know?
*Oklahoma ranks 14th in the nation for adult obesity.
*1 in 3 Oklahoma children ages 10–17 are overweight or obese.
*Only 29% of Oklahoma children get enough physical activity each day.
These statistics remind us how important it is to make healthy choices. From eating nutritious foods and drinking more water to staying active and getting enough sleep, small steps can make a big difference!
Watch for more resources and helpful tips from Nurse Cain to support our Oakdale families as we work together to build healthier habits! 💙🚀

Learning Through Play! ➕➕
Mrs. Hanneman’s 2nd-grade class tested their math skills with Addition Connect Four! Students practiced their new addition strategies as they worked to connect four.
Learning math is even more fun when you can turn it into a game! Great job, second graders! 🚀
📜 Constitution Day in 1st Grade! 📜
Our first graders stepped back in time and learned all about the U.S. Constitution! We talked about what a constitution is, why rules and rights are important, and how our country’s Constitution helps guide us.
Then, we put our learning into action and created our very own class constitutions! ✏️📜 Each class worked together to decide on important rules and promises that will help make our classroom a kind, respectful, and safe place to learn.
And the best part? Our little historians got to sign their constitutions using their very own quills officially! What a fun way to learn about history while creating our own! ❤️💙
September brought a BUNDT-CH of appreciation to our Oakdale faculty and staff! 💕 Our PTC treated our staff to a beautiful and delicious celebration, complete with Bundtinis for everyone to enjoy.
A very special THANK YOU to Nothing Bundt Cakes – Edmond for generously donating all of the Bundtinis for this event! Your kindness and support of our Oakdale staff mean so much. 💜 We are grateful for the wonderful community that helps us celebrate the amazing people who pour so much into our students each day!
Thank you for making September a little sweeter! 🧁✨🚀

✏️🚀 If you give a third grader a pencil… you never know what they’ll create! 🎨✨
Our 3rd graders put their creativity to work with this fun display of self-portraits! Each student brought their own personality and artistic style to their drawing, creating a colorful collection that shows just how unique our Rockets are. ❤️💙
And yes… we think they deserve ALL the pencils! 😉✏️
