The Middle School Library hosted a Book-or-Treat book tasting for 7th graders in conjunction with Mrs. Rihn’s Reading Class!
Students rotated between tables, exploring nonfiction books to find the perfect one for an upcoming project. With a spooky drink to enjoy while browsing and candy waiting after checking out their book, reading was a real treat!
We can't wait to see what our students discover and learn from the books they selected!

What a fun night at Oakdale! From food trucks, face painting, tattoos, and bounce houses to our highly anticipated Bash Dash, there was something for everyone. It was a night full of laughter, fun, and family time!
A HUGE THANK YOU to our PTC for all the planning, organization, and energy that went into making this event such a success. We also appreciate our food trucks for making dinner easy and delicious, and our Builders Club for keeping everyone hydrated by selling water!
And a BIG SHOUTOUT to the teachers who participated in our first-ever Bash Dash! You were speedy AND hilarious! Mr. Still and Mr. Burns battled it out, with Mr. Still winning by a feather! (We'll let them decide who gets bragging rights!)
Thank you to everyone who came out and made the evening so special. We're already looking forward to next year!

Need to catch up on your vaccines? Passport Health will be offering a convenient vaccine clinic at Oakdale on Tuesday, October 13, from 1:00–4:00 p.m.

The clinic is open to Oakdale staff, students, and community members.

We are incredibly proud of our talented Rockets who qualified for the 2026 Central Oklahoma Choir Directors Association (COCDA) Junior High Regional Honor Choir! This is a tremendous accomplishment, and this year, we had a record number of Rockets earn this honor! 🎤
We recognize the dedication, hard work, and extra practice these students put in outside the classroom to reach this achievement.
A special thank-you to Mrs. Ford for her passion for music and for inspiring our students to love singing!

We’re inviting fathers, grandfathers, uncles, guardians, alumni, and other male community members to help welcome our Rockets on Friday mornings. Volunteers will greet students, open car doors, give high-fives, offer words of encouragement, and help every student start the day on a positive note! 🙌🚀

On Friday, the boys' and girls' teams each ran all grades—without splitting by grade level. With so many runners competing together, there was excitement from start to finish for both races!

Good sleep plays an important role in helping students learn, focus, feel their best, and be ready for each school day. Establishing healthy sleep habits at home can make a difference throughout the entire year.
