Looking for a great way to get connected at Oakdale? Join PALS (Parents Assisting Learning at School)! PALS volunteers support our teachers by helping with copies and other general workroom needs.

✨ New to PALS? Learn more on Thursday, August 28, at 8:30 a.m. in front of the elementary library. We’ll host a brief information session and give you a tour of the workroom.

If your family is new to Oakdale this year, PTC would like to invite you to the New Family Breakfast on Friday, August 29th, at 8:45 in the cafeteria. This will be a time to enjoy breakfast, connect with other new families, meet the administration team, and get to know more about your new school home.

PTC is kicking off the school year with its first event, Popsicles in the Park, on Thursday, August 21st, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm at the Launchpad Playground (behind the school). This is an evening to connect, play, and enjoy time together before school starts. All new and returning families are invited! PTC will have an area set up, and the new family committee will be on hand to welcome you.

Additionally, Monte's Gourmet Dogs will be on-site with food available for purchase, so grab dinner while you are there and plan to stay awhile.

Is your family new to Oakdale this year? Info Night is Monday, August 25th and PTC has a booth just for you! Swing by the "New Families" booth at Info Night so the PTC new family committee can help you find your classroom(s) and greet you with a little gift. We are excited to welcome you!

RIVERSPORT is hosting an open house and pizza party for 11-14 year olds who would be interested in learning more about the RIVERSPORT Middle School Rowing Team! Joining the fall middle school rowing team is a great way to learn all about the sport of rowing and acquire important skills before the spring Oakdale Rowing Team begins. The open house events will be on July 31 and August 5 from 5-7pm at the Chesapeake Boathouse, and we would love to have some fellow Oakdale neighbors join in the fun!
