Our 4th grade students brought their fictional narrative characters to life!
Working together in art class with Ms. Camp, students created claymation characters to match the characters from their fictional narratives. This project was a fantastic crossover between art and language arts, allowing students to see their stories take shape in a tangible, creative way.
Mrs. Dunn’s featured characters, created by Ms. Camp, include Drew and Daisy (brother and sister), the Snowmonster, and Sugar Plum the Fairy. 🎭🖌️📚

Mrs. Harrison’s 4th-grade GT class is tapping into their creativity!

With the teamwork of Ms. Malisa and Mr. Cavin, Oakdale raised over $1300 for The Oklahoma City Center! And yes… that meant Spinozi got a pie in the face! 🥧🤣

Justin Colon, author of Quaken, visited Oakdale on our 67th day of school! 📚✨ He brought incredible energy and kept the crowd entertained as he shared his journey to becoming an author and what it takes to write a children’s book. Students loved the audience participation as he walked them through the writing process in a fun and memorable way!

Students spent time painting stones for the garden’s walking path, adding creativity and color to a space we all enjoy. Even in winter, we stay busy with garden improvement projects—and this group showed amazing teamwork and imagination while bringing this path to life!
