Mrs. Hartman's eighth grade ELA classes visited StarBooks Café (aka: the Middle School Library) yesterday. Students sampled different genres of books for an upcoming project and enjoyed coffee shop treats. Thank you to OSF for funding grants to allow these special activities to happen! #ProudToBeARocket

This Valentine's Day is also Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week. 1 in 100 babies are born every year with a Congenital Heart Defect and your support makes their future not only possible, but positive. When your student raises $40 through their KHC page not only will they get to bring home 4 of our Heart Hero keychains, but they will also know they helped strengthen someone's future, and that’s the best way to show someone you care this Valentine's Weekend!

Just a reminder, today, February 3rd, is the last day to pre-order corsages for the upcoming Daddy-Daughter Dance sponsored by PTC. This week, we’re celebrating the heart and soul of our school—our amazing counselors! Their magical connection with our students makes everything we do possible. To honor them, we’re kicking off a week of fun and appreciation! 🎉 Daily Trivia Fun: Each day during the announcements, we’ll feature Counselors’ Trivia. Get ready to guess and celebrate their incredible stories! 👕 Dress-Up Days: Tuesday: Wear your Oakdale gear to show that our counselors always have our backs. Friday: Sport your Super Bowl gear because our counselors are nothing short of SUPER! We also encourage you to find small, meaningful ways to show your appreciation. Whether it’s a kind note, a heartfelt message, or a creative classroom surprise, let’s “fill their buckets” and remind them how much they mean to all of us. They pour so much into our students—this week, let’s pour into them! Thank you for joining us in making this week extra special for our counselors.
