🎶🦃 Look at what Mrs. Ford and our K–1 st grade students have been up to in Music!

Our kindergarteners and first graders were busy prepping for Family Feast in the cutest way possible — by turning scarves and percussion instruments into… TURKEYS!

From colorful feathers to creative flair, these mini-artists designed their own turkey “disguises,” just like the first grade turkeys that decorated the tables at the feast.

And the best part? Kindergarten and first grade joined together to sing “Where Are the Feathers?” while decorating their turkey instruments. Pure holiday magic. 🧡💛

Way to go, little Rockets — you made the music room extra festive!

Wow—what an incredible Family Feast Day we had today! 🦃🍁
We are overflowing with gratitude and want to start by giving a HUGE shoutout to our amazing cafeteria crew, led by Malisa Raddatz. Their preparation and teamwork for this day were truly awe-inspiring!

A big thank-you to Oakdale Baptist Church for manning the serving lines and drink station, and to Oakdale Church of Christ for bussing tables and helping clean up the gym afterward. We couldn’t pull this off without you!

🥘 2,074 servings of stuffing
🫛 103 gallons of green beans
💛 25 gallons of gravy

We captured some fantastic memories with GLP, and Oakdale’s tradition of sitting down together to enjoy this special feast is truly one for the memory books.

Mrs. Camp’s middle school class has been busy learning to sew!

Students created their own pillows and are now moving on to designing a personalized piece of art or clothing. 🧵✨How cool is that?!

A huge thank-you to OSF for providing the sewing machines and to Mrs. Kupiec for generously sharing her time and expertise to help students learn how to stitch their pillows closed.

First Full 5th Grade Band Rehearsal🎺🥁
Our fifth graders had their first full band rehearsal today and are already working hard as they prepare for Family Feast Day.

We're so proud of their dedication and excited for everyone to hear their progress. 🎶

Mrs. Cone's 6th Grade ELA classes celebrated with a Publishing Party to share their creative narratives. 📚🌟

After finishing their novel study of Holes, students wrote stories imagining themselves as a brand-new character arriving at Camp Green Lake. They proudly presented their work, enjoyed snacks, and shared lots of laughs together.

We love seeing our Rockets grow as writers and storytellers. 🚀
