We had an amazing visit from author Dusti Bowling on Monday!📚✨ She spoke to our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders with incredible enthusiasm, sharing highlights from the 11 books she’s written—and even gave us a sneak peek into a few that haven’t been published yet! Not only was Dusti engaging, but she also guided each class through the step-by-step process she uses when writing and publishing a book. Her message about how her characters grow and change throughout their stories was both empowering and inspiring! 🌟 She reminded students that they are truly capable of big things—even when they might not believe it themselves. 💫 What an unforgettable visit full of encouragement, creativity, and motivation! The girl's golf team brought home 3rd place yesterday in their toughest tournament of the season! ⛳💪 All five team members shot their lowest rounds ever, showing incredible growth and perseverance. 📚✨ Exciting Author Visit! ✨📚 Oakdale is thrilled to welcome Dusti Bowling on Monday, April 14! She’s the amazing author behind several books that Oakdale students and teachers have enjoyed, and we’re so thankful to OSF for helping make her visit possible! Our students have been busy reading her books, writing poetry, and creating some truly awesome artwork inspired by her books — and now we get to meet her in person, and a few will get to enjoy lunch with her! 🎉 Bonus! Dusti will have books available for purchase for $9 each, and she’ll even sign them personally! If your child would like to purchase a book, you can send cash or a check made out to Best of Books. Congratulations to Gunner Peterson, Laynie Pitts, Audrey Smith, Ava Calhoun, Luke Anderson, Stone Salak, Jack Stachowiak, Drew Lemons, Neel Rhodes, Quinn Salak, Megan Monsey, Blythe Charlton, Addison Lodes, Norah Shoop, and Riley Rihn! The Oakdale State Science Olympiad team earned an impressive 2nd place finish at UCO this weekend. Every student brought home a medal—outstanding work! Way to go, Rockets! 🚀

Oakdale fifth graders built underwater remote control vehicles. It took six weeks. Today they competed in the Jenks Regional Sea Perch competition and placed 1st and 3rd! Way to go, Rockets!
