Reminder JV Boys and Varsity Girls play at 4:00, followed by JV Boys and Varsity Boys at 5:00. We will be in the two gyms on the backside (east side, I believe) of the Millwood Campus.

Millwood is a digital ticketing school and does not accept cash at the gate. They also have a clear bag policy for all patrons.

📸 Pictured: the Lost & Found fashion show no one signed up for 😆 Hats, gloves, sweatshirts, jackets, and more are currently hanging out in our Lost & Found waiting to be reunited with their owners. If your child came home missing an item… it’s probably here living its best life. Parents—please have students check the Lost & Found (or come take a look yourself) before these items find a new home! 😉 #LostAndFound #WhoseIsThis #CheckYourCloset #SchoolLife #ParentReminder #ProudToBe 🚀

Book clubs continue to have a powerful impact—instilling a true love of reading and bringing stories to life for our Rockets. 🚀
Huge kudos to Mrs. Jones for the extra time, care, and dedication she pours into creating meaningful reading experiences for our students. This marked the final book club of the semester for Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Keyser, perfectly wrapped up with The Last Holiday Concert 🎶📖 book club.
Reading is more than words on a page—it’s connection, curiosity, and joy. 💛

Our 4th grade students brought their fictional narrative characters to life!
Working together in art class with Ms. Camp, students created claymation characters to match the characters from their fictional narratives. This project was a fantastic crossover between art and language arts, allowing students to see their stories take shape in a tangible, creative way.

Mrs. Dunn’s featured characters, created by Ms. Camp, include Drew and Daisy (brother and sister), the Snowmonster, and Sugar Plum the Fairy. 🎭🖌️📚

Mrs. Harrison’s 4th-grade GT class is tapping into their creativity!
Students designed and created their own games from start to finish, then shared the fun by playing them with their classmates. From clever concepts to thoughtful rules and problem-solving, these GT students demonstrated that creating is learning, and learning happens best through doing. Their innovation, collaboration, and critical thinking were on full display!🎲✨🚀

🚀 Former Rocket and son of Mrs. Erb, Baden Erb, visited with our fifth graders this week to share the mission and purpose of the Vera C. Rubin Observatory in 🇨🇱 Chile. Students learned about the brand-new observatory, including its incredible camera—as large as two cars! The images collected will be used to create a “movie” of the universe, helping scientists imagine and study galaxies, asteroids, and comets while working to capture the most accurate size and image of the Milky Way. In just the first image alone, the observatory discovered 2,000 new asteroids! 🌌✨ Scientists from all over the world analyze these images to better understand our universe. It’s always exciting to welcome Rocket alumni back to Oakdale to inspire students by sharing their knowledge and real-world experiences! #OakdaleRocketAlumni #ProudToBeARocket 🚀🔭

12 Days of Spinozi was a huge success!
With the teamwork of Ms. Malisa and Mr. Cavin, Oakdale raised over $1300 for The Oklahoma City Center! And yes… that meant Spinozi got a pie in the face! 🥧🤣
Spinozi volunteers and works year-round to support families in need during the holiday season, and he was so appreciative of our amazing OAKDALE ROCKETS for showing up with big hearts. 💙🚀

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated and to our teachers for coming to the Pie-in-the-Face assembly.
WE ARE ROCKETS! 💥🚀💛

Justin Colon, author of Quaken, visited Oakdale on our 67th day of school! 📚✨ He brought incredible energy and kept the crowd entertained as he shared his journey to becoming an author and what it takes to write a children’s book. Students loved the audience participation as he walked them through the writing process in a fun and memorable way!
A huge thank-you to Mrs. Scott for bringing an author all the way from New York to Oakdale, and to the OSF for making this amazing experience possible! 💙✏️
