We are closely monitoring the weather forecast for Friday, January 23, and want to share our proactive plan with you now so you have time to prepare.
We will check conditions early Friday morning. If we need to cancel school, you will be notified by 6:30 a.m.
If school is not canceled, we will operate on an early release schedule for Friday.
Students will be released at 2:15 p.m. for bus riders, carpool, and walkers.
Bus riders will arrive home approximately one hour earlier than normal.
Aftercare will also run one hour earlier, ending at 4:30 p.m.
We will use our PM Assembly Schedule so students can attend all classes during the shortened day.
Afternoon Assembly Schedule:
*Buses leave at 2:22 pm
We are sharing this information in advance so families can plan accordingly.
Here is what we need from you:
If your child will be using a different form of transportation home on Friday, please notify your child’s teacher by 8:00 a.m. on Friday.
We want to avoid a large number of early checkouts throughout the day, as they disrupt instruction and defeat the purpose of having school if students cannot fully learn. Please do not plan to pick up your child earlier than 2:15 pm on Friday, if possible.
We hope this helps you in your planning for the incoming winter weather. Of course, there is a big chance that we will be out on Monday as well. We will let you know about that as soon as we can.
